5 Simple Steps for Editing Interior Photo | How to merge 2 exposures in photoshop manually
There are many ways in which you can edit/ retouch your Architectural/ Interior photographs like HDR merge which can be done in camera as well as in software like photoshop and lightroom. The other technique, which I’m demonstrating here is manual exposure blending. In this technique two different exposures are merged manually in photoshop.
The manual exposure blending can also be done using different tools in photoshop, it is based on how we make a selection. For this tutorial I’m using pen tool because it is the most precise tool for selecting complicated subjects. Though One downside of pen tool is that it can take forever if you are not used to it. These are the 5 simple steps to edit your interior photo –
1. Import both exposures layers in photoshop and align them
2. Make selections using pen tool from the underexposed layer which you want to reveal.
3. Convert selection into layer mask
4. Use soft brush to dilute the hard edges of underexposed layer mask
5. Make final adjustments and you’r Done !!
In this video I’ve shown the same process you can watch and learn how to edit your interior photograph using simple exposure blending
